The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has been invited by the organizers of the SAUDI HORECA EXHIBITION 2019 to participate in the aforesaid exhibition. The Embassy has accepted the invitation and has already done preliminary confirmation by booking a space at the venue.

The Embassy has been also invited by the organizers of the Sixth INTERNATIONAL COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE EXHIBITION to participate in such exhibition. The Embassy has also accepted the invitation and has also already done preliminary confirmation by booking a space at the venue.

As for the SAUDI HORECA EXHIBITION 2019, it is the biggest annual hospitality exhibition which has been running for 26 years in Lebanon, 6 years in Jordan and 8 years in Kuwait and for the 8th year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after the success of the exhibition in November 2018.

The event will feature a host of activities and shows including workshops, culinary art show and much more. It will attract exhibitors, visitors, and key industry players on a local and international level.

As for the INTERNATIONAL COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE EXHIBITION, it is the largest coffee and chocolate exhibition in the Middle East, accredited by the Association of Coffee Professionals (SCA) and recognized by the global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) as an international exhibition according to international standards. The visitors in the last edition exceeded 90,000 and more than 280 local and international entities within 5 days around the world. This exhibition will be held at the Riyadh International Exhibition and conference center from 3-7 December 2019, with the participation of leading producers of coffee and chocolate in exchange for the most important companies and institutions working in this field at the local and international levels.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s coffee and chocolate market is one of the largest markets in the Middle East, whereas the total coffee and chocolate imports in the kingdom in the first quarter of 2019 exceeded 822,000,000 SAR, which is an increase by 18.5% over last year according to the Saudi Customs, as well as a remarkable increase by 21% in the opening of new businesses such as cafes and chocolate shops according to the commercial licenses released by the Ministry of Commercial and Investments.

Due to significant importance of marketing our Tanzania agricultural products abroad as one of implementation steps of economic diplomacy, our Embassy in Riyadh intends to use the above mentioned two exhibitions to exhibit Tanzania agricultural products and thus has forwarded invitations from the organizers of the aforesaid exhibitions to Tanzania relevant companies and some of them have confirmed their participation and attendance in those two exhibitions.
